I was experimenting with wireless flash, positioned behind the ball. Not sure if I totally like the effect of my rimming/backlighting attempt here... too close to the subject maybe.

I'm still trying to copy Dave Hill's style. :P
I don't know... Maybe just a phase. :)

great effect... ^_^
you could try blocking the light reflected at the back... it might give a more interesting look with the dave hill effect. D
